ARTWORK QUESTIONS

I have a logo or file I want to send you to use on our shirts. Will this work?

Having good, clean artwork is very important when it comes to printing on apparel. It’s almost as important as the printing technique itself.

We will need to get your artwork in vector format. We prefer .ai or .eps files to work with submitted artwork, however, we can also take .pdf or .svg.

If you don’t have any artwork or your logo is not in vector format, our art department will be able to convert your image/file for a small fee.

Furthermore, it’s also important to realize in screen printing that each color is printed separately, which means if you have multiple colors in your design, then you will also need to have your artwork color separated (ie. Put each color on its own screen).

I need help with my artwork. Can you help me?

Yes, our art department will be able to assist you in helping create artwork.

One thing to keep in mind is many people make the mistake assuming their graphic designer knows the intricacies of printing on shirts. Designing something so it looks good on your website or on paper is very different than designing something that will pop on a t-shirt.

We will be happy to take a look at your artwork and tell you if there are any changes or alterations that will make the final product look better.

SELLING SHIRTS ONLINE

How does it work?

Because we’ve been printing for a long time, we’ve seen and come across a wide variety of situations. While many are simply straight orders (example: a business or organization prints hundreds of t-shirts), we have seen an uptick in individuals and organizations (especially non-profits) that are interested in raising money by selling shirts.

The issue with buying a bunch of shirts and re-selling them (whether online or offline), you have to get a bunch of shirts printed, hold the inventory and hope that the sizes and quantities you ordered are sold. Most times, people are stuck with a bunch of leftover, various inventory.

To help eliminate this, we created a platform where sellers can design shirts online and sell them without having to worry about the hassle of printing the shirts, handling inventory, collecting money, shipping and customer service. We do all the work for you and simply send you a check.

How much can I expect to make?

A lot of stories you hear will advertise you can make 6-figure incomes through selling shirts. While this is definitely possible, most of these people or companies promoting this are marketing or “consulting” companies that make money off of YOU. They’ll sell you an e-book, educational series or mastermind group membership. Again, there’s nothing wrong with this and we’re not saying these organizations are not successful, but the main objective of these companies are to sell you products or services. You can read this article about the hidden pitfalls of internet marketing.

Saying that, there are many factors to discuss about how much money you will make. You may sell 100 shirts (and people will advertise this) but you need to ask yourself:

1) How much money did I spend to sell those 100 shirts (graphic designs, advertising, etc)?
2) How much time did I spend doing this? Remember, time is money and you should be calculating your time invested into each project.
